"When Sad Clown was first formed I had no sense of what it had to be. The freedom to just experiment and let things grow organically was actually a huge part of it's appeal.

This was never originally intended to be an E.P. What started as one video, quickly grew into three and then ultimately five finishing off 2017 nicely. The songs chosen were all written during a very specific transitional period in my life so turning them into an E.P, ultimately just ended up making sense.

A huge part of this development was down to the artists I was fortunate enough to collaborate with. A fantastic recurring cast of actors featuring some of my oldest friends made directing these videos such an inspiring process and took this project in a direction I could never have planned for. I'd always been interested in video and had directed a couple of videos before, but only on a very small scale. Working with so many talented people on this has really helped me build my confidence in expressing myself creatively in ways other than music and I am very excited for where I can take Sad Clown in the future."
